October 19 Letter

Hey, what's up! Hopefully I didn't sound too angry, I just want to hear from everyone. (Skyler wants to get more mail from someone else besides me, so if you are reading this he would probably like to hear from you. His current address is in the left hand column. Thanks!)
Anywase, we had a pretty good week! We saw some pretty sweet miracles. There is a less active family that we are working with. Their names are the Gadows. Anywase, they have a lot of health problems and it was causing them a lot of grief and plus they were not reading the scriptures or praying or any of that stuff. So you wonder why they were suffering! Well, anywase one of their things was that Brother Gadow had a quadruple bypass about a month ago and now he can't find any doctors to work on him plus he has arsnick(rat poisning) so he was pretty bumbed, well anywase, last Wednesday we went over there and called them to repentance and promised them that if they read and prayed and all that stuff that in less than a week they would find doctors and there body's would heal! So ya it was a pretty bold promise! Well 2 days go by and they call us and they had been faithful in keeping the commandments and they got the test results back for their poison and it was no longer there and they said that out of nowhere doctors were there to help them and stuff so it was a pretty cool miracle! Anywase, thought I'd share that with you. Anywase, I will talk to ya later and I will be looking for your letter and package soon. Anywase, talk to ya later!

October 5 Letter

Hey, what's up! So it sounds like it was a pretty good week. Well, we had a lot of miracles this week. First, we had gotten back from our appointment and had like 20 minutes till our dinner appointment so we went out to knock on doors and talk to people. Well, we knocked on this one door and nothin'. So we knocked on the next door, nothin'. Finally, the last door an old lady answers the door and we do our speel, and she says, "So your Mormons" and we were like "ya, sure" you know. And she says "Hold on a second" and she comes back with this Book of Mormon that had been read like what looked a million times! She said she loved the Book of Mormon and because of it she quit reading the Bible! We then set up a return appointment to see her which was the next day. So we go back and she invites us in and we were like "Well we can't come in unless there is another male here. So she said "Go get my son-in-law, Joe, he lives next door and is "ex-Mormon" so we were like "What!ok!" So we get Joe and he is very less active but is married to Marjorees daughter and in the space of 24 hours she talked to her daughter and told us at our appointment with her that her daughter wants to learn more about the Church and is actually looking for a church to join. So she already set up an appointment for us on Tuesday, so that was awesome haha!! It's not every day you knock on someones door that has a testimony of the Book of Mormon that is not a member. And let's see, another one, we were going through our Ward roster which consists of more than 600 people and only about 200 are active. So we see this name and decide to go see him and we find out that he had a wife that wants to learn more and they have an 8 month old baby and want to get it blessed, so that's awesome, I think. And at General Conference, the Sunday morning session, a guy showed up that was 85 years old and I guess the story behind it was Wednesday night he showed up at a church and apparently a pastor told him that there was no way he and his wife could be together for eternity (his wife has recently died) so he came to church and came to General Conference and loved what he heard. His name is Bill and he is a character. But it just makes you realize how blessed we are to have the knowledge that families can be together forever. So ya, it was awesome. So ya, I watched General Conference and I think that President Monson's talk on doing good to others or Elder Holland's talk on the Book of Mormon and laying the smack down why it's true were good. Anywase, there was a bunch of good talks this time, but of course they always are, aren't they. It seems like the main message of conference that I got was that God loves his children. I think it was the most repeated. Along with repentance and recognizing and recieving personal revelation. Anywase, tell everyone I said hi and as for garments just send the regular ones and I got the shirts, so I'm good there. Anywase, can't wait to see the pictures. So I will talk to ya later.
